The Cayman Islands possess some of the most luminous, sugar-soft shores in the Caribbean, transitioning seamlessly from the cosmopolitan stretches of Grand Cayman to the wild, untouched coves of the Sister Islands. Beyond the postcard-perfect imagery lies a diverse collection of coastal sanctuaries, each defined by its own distinct geography, social rhythm, and aquatic personality.

Seven Mile Beach

Location: West coast of Grand Cayman, stretching north from George Town.

Style & Vibe: The crown jewel of the territory, this famous crescent is lined with high-design luxury resorts, open-air lounges, and Casuarina pines. While the central strips buzz with energetic sun-worshippers, the northern reaches settle into a sophisticated, breezy tranquility.

The Draw: Powdery coral sand, crystalline turquoise water, endless beach walks, and effortless access to world-class diving and water sports.

Smith Barcadere / Smith Cove

Location: South Sound, just south of George Town.

Style & Vibe: A dramatic, intimate pocket beach framed by weathered, black ironshore and ancient limestone outcrops. It serves as a beloved local gathering place that retains an unpretentious, highly photogenic character.

The Draw: Protected, ultra-clear turquoise waters (on calm days) and exceptional shallow-water snorkeling amongst colorful reef fish, paired with immaculate public amenities. Locals frequent this spot at weekends with music and BBQs (it can get very busy).

Rum Point

Location: The tranquil North Side of Grand Cayman.

Style & Vibe: Laid-back, retro-chic island leisure. Hammocks swing between trees, shaded picnic huts invite long afternoon lulls, and the atmosphere channels a slow-paced, barefoot elegance facing the open sea.

The Draw: Exceptionally calm, shallow waters ideal for wading, complemented by vibrant local beach bars (Rum Point Club and Kaibi Beach Club) serving up icy rum Mudslides.

Starfish Point

Location: Near Rum Point on Grand Cayman's northern coast.

Style & Vibe: Remote, shallow, and ethereal. This shaded, rustic spit of land feels wonderfully removed from the rest of the island, offering a quiet, glassy lagoon where time slows down.

The Draw: An undisturbed natural habitat where magnificent, bright-red cushion sea stars dot the clear sandy bottom in knee-deep water.

Cemetery Beach

Location: Northern end of the Seven Mile corridor in West Bay.

Style & Vibe: An unpretentious, peaceful sanctuary shaded by grand casuarina trees. The vibe is hushed and local, offering exceptional near-shore snorkeling above a flourishing coral reef just 60 yards out.
